Three university vice presidents have disappeared from the University of Central Oklahoma website.
Art Cotton, the vice president of Transformative Leadership; Christopher Lynch, vice president for Enrollment and Student Success; and Sonya Watkins, the chief information officer, are all no longer listed on the UCO website as members of the president’s cabinet.
These vanishing vice presidents are also accompanied by a series of layoffs and resignations within the Center for eLearning and Connected Environments.
The Independent View has made five attempts to contact university officials, as well as submitted an open records request on May 22. During a phone call to university communications, The Independent View was informed that the records request was being worked on. The Indy also contacted Adrienne Nobles, the vice president for Communications and Public Affairs, via email that same day; however, she was out of office.
Nobles did respond to an email and said she would circle back with The Indy later in the week. She did not return with any information and has not responded to any further requests for comment.
This is an ongoing story. The Indy will continue to update the story as more information comes to light.
