Ella Spurlock is the managing editor of The Independent View. She started as a professional media major at UCO and recently switched to a photographic arts major to give her more creative freedom and exposure in the journalism field. She started at The Vista and worked her way through the ranks from reporter to copy editor and finally managing editor. She has always had a love for writing and helping stop the spread of misinformation, so she helped classmates create The Independent View.
